Volunteer!

Members of the Wyoming Public Health Association are always needed to volunteer their time to service on one of WPHA's Standing or ad hoc Committees.  Our organization is only as strong as the commitment of our members, and the expertise and talent of each and every one of you is vital to the continuation of WPHA's Mission.

ANNUAL MEETING COMMITTEE ~ The Annual Meeting Committee plans, coordinates, budgets, and evaluates all aspects of the Association's annual meeting/annual education conference during the year by the Association.  The Annual Meeting Committee is chaired by the President Elect, and must have three to nine members. Kimberly Rogers, President Elect of WPHA, chairs this committee.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE ~ The Membership Committee conducts membership drives and outreach for WPHA member recruitment, assists the Treasurer in maintaining membership records and collection of annual dues, publishes and disseminates newsletters and other communications to the membership, and coordinates all activities related to membership services.  This committee must have three to nine members.  This Committee is chaired by Angie Crotsenberg, Director at Large.

PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEE ~ The Public Policy Committee solicits, reviews, edits, and presents position papers and resolutions for the WPHA Board or Association.  It leads and coordinates the development and implementation of the Association's participation in the American Public Health Association position/policy process, and efforts regarding local, state, and federal public health policy.  This Committee is chaired by Dr. Joe Grandpre, WPHA's Affiliate Representative to the Governing Council, and must have three to nine members.

OUTREACH AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE ~ The Outreach and Education Committee coordinates outreach, marketing, and education of the Association in order to fulfill the mission of the Association.  The Outreach and Education Committee updates and maintains the Association's website, coordinates newsletters, and develops public information for the Association.  Dr. Karen Ouzts and Rob Johnston serve as Co-Chairs for this committee, and the Outreach and Education Committee must have three to nine members.

BYLAWS COMMITTEE ~ This time limited committee will review the current bylaws and will recommend revisions to the Board and Association membership.  Dr. Dan O'Leary serves as Chair of this Committee.
